Glimpse the distance of becoming what you need to be,
Ignoring the signs that glow, the moment the moon is our sun.
You’re not in charge of the weather,
even though you seem to predict so much better.
In the future, I see skies of blue, and a sun rain can't beat.
But you speak of rationality.
Of the clouds lurking just beyond the grove,
Waiting to flood what ground I’ve just managed to hold.
Not only do I believe you,
I drink your words to quench my deathly thirst.
Always coming up one gulp short,
Igniting a desperate need only you can supply to me.
Remembering our first sweet kisses,
Blossomed from pink ‘baby’ roses,
You held me so warmly then,
The memory of you, before there was a definite ‘we’.
Crying, because heaven has collapsed.
And it’s getting harder and harder to smile,
With a facade of make up and stubborn lies,
As you shower me with love to hide the bruises.
Once again I'm back in your arms.
Believing every promise and 'sorry',
Absorbing the comfort that I need so much,
Despite the looming cloud of distrust.
Once I would have flown away
Only i feel as if i deserve every 'thunder clap',
Cant leave the you to be on my own.
Or risk stepping into the storm.

Love is foolish when handled by fools, but caution blows it too the wind.

These lines:
You’re not in charge of the weather,
even though you seem to predict so much better.
make me really happy, because I totally know so many people like that.
Also, I know the feeling of this poem very well, and you have made it easy to relate to. Hooray!

Hope it's right when you die: old and boney.

We make for your sake such things as stand fast,
Through the ages these pages forever will last.
On blank paper the printer sets down what is heard,
Giving life to what's rife with the power of the word. -Michael Kongehl
